SPORT LIGHTS

     The Peppy Peppers

4-H club of Waldorf 
were among those who made up the Waseca Coun-
ty Club Broadcast at 
3:30, Sunday afternoon 
over Station KROC, from Rochester. 

     The Club Sextet sang “Come to the Fair”.  In    this group were Alverna Hasher, Mary Doyle, Dor-othy Hodgkins, Alvera Wobschall, Betty Ditt-   mer, and  Vernell Ewert.  The mixed chorus sang, “The Old Refrain.”  In addition to the sextet, Chellis Woolworth, El-   mer Fennert, and Thom-
as Madden sang in this 
latter group.

     Waldorf, Minn.  Feb. 5, 1937.  The Waldorf  Senior High School Basket Ball  team was defeated by Rap-idan last Friday night.   

The score was 21 to 14. 

It was a close game 
during the first period, 
and the score at the half
was 7 to 6 in favor of Waldorf. 

During the third quar- 
ter the score was tied 
several times.  During 
the first part of the 
fourth quarter the score
 was still a tie.  During 
the last few minutes of 
the game Rapidan increase-ed their score by sever-
al points, very rapidly.  Fogal was high scorer for Waldorf during this game

Declamatory

     The local Declamat-
ry Contest will be
held on Mondy, Febru-
ary fifteenth. Those who are taking
part in this work are:

   HUMOROUS-Mary Doyle, Mary Munsch,
Blanche Convey, Irma Hinz, Maxine Frat-
zke, Julia Moncibiaz, Irene Demmer, Mary
Dolores Stencil, Marie Fogal, Jana Sch-
roeder, and Edward Doyle.

   DRAMATIC-Alverna Hasher, Mavis Ditt-
mer, Luella Tesch, Dorothy Hodgkins, Bet-
ty Dittmer, Clementine Munsch, and Clem-
entine Ford.

   CRITICAL-Elmer Fennert, and Thom-
as Madden.

   This Declamatory work is under the
direction of Miss Langemo.

   The winners of the local contest will
go to Pemberton to contest. The winners
at Pemberton will receive medals and lat-
er go to Mankato where they will finish
the contest.
